Mattias Ljunggren, CEO

I was born in Malmö, Sweden in 1980 where I grew up playing all kind of sport such as football, ice hockey and handball. In 2000 I really started to develop an interest in traveling.

Among my trips to different countries in Europe is Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and Greece, I have also visited many of the country’s in south-east Asia such as Burma, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. I have a house in northern Thailand in a town called Nakhon Sawan; where I spend a few months every year with my wife and son.

I started my working career at the Swedish Postal Giro in 2000 and worked daily for about one year with the bookkeeping and documentation of the bills send in by the public.

In 2001, I started to work in the logistics sector. The day-to-day assignment included doing a thorough safety inspection of every goods wagon and the cargo carried by the them to prevent accidents. I also supervised all delivery and pick up of goods wagons out to the industrial estate and checked on pick up so the cargo in/on every goods wagon is secured properly. This attention to detail and expert management ensured, safe, secure delivery of a variety of cargo.

The last few years I been working a lot with different types of electric and diesel engines as a engine engineer and supervisor of all aspects of maintenance and supply chain related to the variety of engines I am responsible for. I have a particular expertise in handling, transportation and securing toxic substances and working with high voltage electricity in many different applications.

At the same time, I have been working with Ric in the entertainment industry. He has been a mentor to me, showing me the details that have to be managed in order to have an outstanding performance. Ric’s passion for entertainment is contagious and, of course, I feel the same way about it. I have been concentrating on comprehensive learning so that I can best contribute my logistical skills to Elite Asia’s different business sectors.

In my free time, which I have too little, I still enjoy pursuing my sporting interests. I spend most of my free time with my lovely wife and 1 1/2 year old son. I still get to pursue my fondness for travel as I am regularly travelling from town to town all around Sweden. When I get the chance my family and I also return to our house in Nakhon Sawan and spend some time together.
