Skype Me™! EXCELLENCE THROUGH DIVERSITY

Kob Pradubtong, Manager

As I approached high school graduation and adulthood, I knew it was time for me to get out into the workforce and start to make my own way in life.  Being a typical 18 year old, from Bangkok, I had no immediate preference for the field, as long as I got a stable paycheck.  Driving down a street near my home I glimpsed at a sign that said “Now Hiring” at a local restaurant.  I felt that this was an opportunity for me, so I went for it.  I started at Chester’s Grill soon after seeing that sign, and I really learned the meaning of hard work.  I learned to take criticism in a constructive way and take pride in my work.  I also came to appreciate the power of teamwork and I still hold these work values to heart.

I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years, at Pizza Deli, Chester’s Grill and Palm View Resort Patong, to name a few.  After some time I started to feel an urge to expand my horizons and put my skills to work in another field.

Working at Elite Asia I have taken on more responsibility than in previous positions.  I am now using my skills to help mold certain areas of company policy as well as providing the best customer service I can to all of our clients.  I started with Elite Asia from the beginning, laying the foundation for the company.  Learning how difficult the process of building a strong company, that we can all be proud of is; has made me very determined to  build a successful company.

My hobbies are playing sports like badminton; and Thai food.  I love the fresh air and the exercise of badminton, and it is also a great way to be able to enjoy my true hobby; guilt free.  Of course all Thai people love Thai food, but it has always held a special mystery and charm for me.  Since childhood, my temptation for Thai food led me to the kitchen and soon I became the one in the house doing the cooking; mostly so I could eat it after.  There is something that makes Thai food unique and captivating, the challenge is learn the secrets and adding some of your own along the way.  I started playing badminton when I was just old enough to swing the racket.  My first racket, which was one of my father's old ones, was bigger than me at the time.

My employment journey has been educational, to say the least.  I have learned skills that can't be taught in a classromm but come from experience and learning from mistakes.  I am ready to hit the ground running with Elite Asia and use what I have learned to make us a stronger group.
